I've recently heard an Israeli academic and writer @EinatWilf talking about a concept called Westplaining.... which she states that we are trying to impose a Western view on explaining what the Palestinian people want - instead of LISTENING to what THEY SAY they want.... They are not saying they want a 2-state solution.... they've never said that. They want a one-state solution of Palestine, in the land of Israel. They want to eliminate Israel, and replace it with a Palestinian State. I don't think they want to entertain the idea of an actual state unless it is solely in the land of Israel despite the fact that Jordan is actually 76.9% of former British Mandate of Palestine. The HKOPS theory sounds like a great solution.... but you are Westplaining instead of listening to what these people actually want. I don't believe it's about a STATE at all, I believe it's about annihilating Israel. It's always been about that.
You are correct Debbi W. That is why I have aways maintained for the last 45 years that there can never be another State created between Israel and Jordan - only sovereignty in the remaining 5% of land in the Mandate of Palestine still remaining unallocated being negotiated and divided up between Israel and Jordan - the two successor States to the Mandate currently exercising sovereignty in the other 95%. @EinatWilf should be pushing for the HKOPS solution which proposes just that solution as a fair and reasonable solution to end 100 years of unresolved conflict between Arabs and Jews. She has not mentioned HKOPS once since its publication 2 years ago. Perhaps you should ask her - why?
